We regret the decision made by Ethiopia to revoke press credentials of Simon Marks, a seasoned journalist working for the New York Times.
The FPAA is dismayed by the arbitrary arrest and detention of Girmay Gebru, a BBC Tigrinyan reporter, Fitsum Berhane of the AFP, Alula Akalu, a fixer for the Financial Times together with Tamrat Yemane, who also works as a fixer. The four were arrested in the regional capital, Mekelle.

The Foreign Press Association, Africa strongly condemns the errant behavior of a Kenyan police officer who deliberately fired a teargas canister that hit and injured our member and colleague Mariel Mueller, while covering protests in Nairobi.
